Who am I? I could just say I am a Daughter, sister, wife, niece, aunt and foster mom, Realtor, and a Christian. None of that would really scratch the surface of who I really am.
I was a young adult when I realized that life was going to be a rollercoaster ride. I was a military brat and my parents divorced when I was 2. My father being the Stud he was married again 4 more times and each time he would be a different religion. It may sound crazy but it meant for a very interesting childhood.
As a teenager I lived with my mom and her husband. I learned at that time what sexual abuse was. I also learned the meaning of faith and found my love for God. I moved out on my own when I was 17, worked full time, went to high school and cosmetology school. There were plenty of bumps in the road but I was a principal list student and eventually graduated.
I traveled a lot after high school trying to find my niche. I loved to move, new homes to check out, new beginnings to unfold. Eventually settled in Virginia where I met my husband – a love story for another day.
We invested in our first home in Virginia Beach when I was 23 in 2001..(GREAT MARKET…) We married just a year later. I have been married for 8.5 years, he is the love of my life, the keeper of my heart and at times the biggest pain in my……well you know. He has shown me how to love beyond reason and I feel incredibly grateful for him. Like most marriages ours has not always been easy but we seem to make it through. Which just makes our marriage even richer.
I have been a full time Realtor for 6 years. I find that in this business I am always challenged and I like that there is no ceiling to what I can do in my professional and personal life.. I take my job seriously but the core of what makes me good at what I do is the ability to put God first, family second, then career.
Once we moved to James City County (in the Williamsburg area) we found an amazing church that showed me the true meaning of outreach. I have got to tell you, there is no other better feeling than to give to those who truly need it. Coming up with new ideas to find and help those who are in need in my community brings me to a level of happiness that is hard to describe.
It may sound like I spend a lot of time working, but I play just as hard as I work. My husband and I ride Harleys, hike, and we LOVE to travel.
I will end this by saying; life may be filled with unexpected twist and turns but it’s about finding all the joys of life that make it soooo worth the ride. I look forward to getting to know you.
