I started out my career as a massage therapist working for a local spa. At the time, my children were very young, and I didn’t want the responsibility of running my own business. The spa took care of all the advertising and scheduling of appointments.

The one thing that I was not able to do was set some boundaries as to how much work I could handle in a week. As with many women, it was and still is difficult for me to say “that’s enough!” I pushed myself to the limit, and burned out.

When I was ready to give it a shot again, we built out a therapy room in our martial arts school. Now I am the one in charge. In my case, I believe that the best advertising is word of mouth. If you are good at what you do, and put your heart into it, people will find you. I now have a full practice in just one year, and looking to rent the space to other therapists. It has been somewhat of a relief not going through the mental work and finances that go along with building a business.

If you strongly set out your intentions to the universe, it will provide in abundance. This is how:

- Being positive. Focus on the gifts that you have been given, rather than what you are lacking.

-Practice Yoga and meditation daily. It keeps you flexible, grounded and centered. A flexible body creates a flexible mind.

-Pair affirmations with the statement “even if”. For example, “I am receiving all the gifts the universe has to offer, even if it seems like something is missing.”

-Visualize yourself already having success.
