Being physically fit has always been a high priority in my life. I love to exercise, especially outside. What I have come to realize, is that I need a to balance the types of activities. I used to run outside 5 times a week. What happened is that my body got used to the running, and I had to work harder to get my heart rate up. My flexibility got worse, along with increased knee and back pain. Once I began doing yoga, and cutting down on the running, my pain has decreased. I thought that I might gain weight and lose tone, but I actually maintained my weight and toned up even more. So I learned not to take any form of exercise to the extreme. Results occur with variation.
