We are women, we like food. Some of us like to cook it and throw in everything but the kitchen sink and it comes out fabulous. Some of us follow recipes to precision and fail miserable. Some of us prefer to eat out every possible meal. I bet you can’t guess who is who in our little crew, well, at least not yet! But ALL of love to eat it. It’s comfort. It’s family. It’s love. It’s community. Thus this weeks question of the week . . . If you were on death row, what would your last meal be? In other words, what is your favorite food (but the previous phrasing made it much more interesting didn’t it.) |

| Hope | God, I hope and pray I never end up on death row. If I can’t stand hospital food, I’m sure prison food wouldn’t be much better. However, if I had to choose, it would definitely be: yeast rolls and cinnamon butter from Texas Roadhouse, Coke with unlimited refills, loaded fries from Outback and one scoop of EVERY SINGLE ONE of Baskin Robbins flavors. I mean, trying to lose my 100+ lbs is killing me now, but if I’m dying, I would definitely gorge! |
| CJ | This is a really tough question for me, it takes me a solid 20 minutes minimum to decide what to order at a restaurant, and you don’t even want to know how long it takes me to decide on which restaurant to go to in the first place. Menu planning is pure torture to me; I have a tendency to fix food based on what was on sale at the grocery store instead. Every time I think of something, three more things come to mind, so in the interest of brevity I will just list the first ten things to come to mind… salad w/feta cheese and a light vinegar and oil dressing, wine, figs, persimmons, kalmata olives, honeyed Greek yogurt, dates, French bread, warm chocolate pudding, and Spiced Indian tea. |
| Maria | I would want to have a 20 ounce porterhouse (organic meat of course), a baked potato loaded, a huge salad with chunky blue cheese dressing, a huge piece of apple pie for dessert, and bottle of expensive red wine. |
